I've just upgraded Amarok, from 2.2.0 to 2.2.1. I was previously running 2.2.0 from the ubuntu repository, but when upgrading I rebuilt amarok from source.
My collection no longer appears in 2.2.1. I've tried fully rebuilding my collection multiple times, and restarting amarok. While my collection is rebuilding, I can tell that amarok is finding my files as I get warnings from taglib when running amarok in a terminal. They just don't appear in Local Collection afterwards, and Local Collection shows "0 tracks". Any ideas? - brian |

Please do a full collection rescan (Settings menu -> Configure Amarok -> Collection), then restart Amarok.
If you build from source instead of using distribution provided packages, you would be better off with Amarok from git, it's the same amount of work and you get the latest builds. JFYI, Amarok 2.2.1 is available in the Kubuntu updates PPA, as described here: http://kubuntu.org/news/amarok-2.2.1
Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ... |

Doing a full collection rescan and restarting didn't work. I tried this a few times.
I've uninstalled the source version and installed 2.2.1 from the Kubuntu repo as you recommended. This version works fine. Not sure what the problem was. Thanks for the help and the quick reply! |
