Current track question

Wed Dec 30, 2009 10:53 am
What is the "Current track" applet in the context browser supposed to show when I'm not playing any track?

For some reason I always see the same list of 5 tracks that I added to my collection 2 days ago but never played in Amarok yet.

As far as I remember it showed the last 5 played tracks before.

Furthermore I don't know where Amarok stores these 5 tracks. I already removed the "Recent Files[$e]=" line in amarokrc but this didn't help.

Mine shows above the last few tracks played, and below the newest albums added. I just checked - 5 each.

After having played all newly added albums the "Last tracks" display is working again as expected.

Now I have to add another album to check if the problem appears again...

I added some new albums yesterday and now context view shows the newly added tracks only when Amarok 2.2.1.90 isn't playing any tracks.

Seems I have to play all new tracks at least once before context view shows the last played tracks again.

Should this be considered a bug or is it a feature?

Before answering -- have you updated to 2.2.2? If so, does the situation still exist?

Yes, I've installed 2.2.2 today (from source) and the problem still exists.
