You should start telling us which exact Amarok version you are talking about. Also some more information on your system (KDE version, distribution) wouldn't hurt
Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ... |

Check to see that you have the Ultimate Lyrics script installed and running. I've had no problems since doing this.

Well, then you should upgrade to Amarok 2.2.1, version 2.2.0 is already outdated. Please see http://kubuntu.org/news/amarok-2.2.1 for more information on how to upgrade.
You might want to wait a few more days, Amarok 2.2.2 is due any day now, the announcement should be on the Kubuntu website as soon as the packages are ready.

Well, you need at least KDE 4.3.3 to run Amarok 2.2.1, since the Kubuntu packagers did build it against it. Upgrading your KDE to 4.3.4 should solve that.

If you have the PPA activated where Amarok 2.2.1 is, you should also have KDE 4.3.4, else check on http://kubuntu.org, they announced it there.

Please read this:
http://www.kubuntu.org/node/126 You need to activate the karmic-backports repository, in Synaptic: Settings menu -> Repositories -> Updates tab. Also I strongly suggest you do not use both the Ubuntu Software Center and Synaptic. The Software Center just reinstalls packages over and over again, and doesn't distinguish between installed and uninstalled applications, you really should avoid using that.

Turbo, have you gotten both sound and lyrics working now? If so, can you click "Solved"? Otherwise, tell us more details about what you have (such as the script name), what version of Amarok you are using, etc. |
