Hi,

I have the following Problem (using Amarok 2.2.1.90, KDE 4.3.1, Suse 11.2).

Amarok plays some music (using Track Progression: Random Tracks), then I search in the play list for some Music, and click on one of the Songs he shows me, which Amarok also plays. So far everything works fine.

But if the song is finished Amarok just stops, even if there are more songs in the playlist. Furthermore I can't use the general short key win+c to make amarok start again. I have to switch to player itsels and start it again by clicking with the mouse.
(If this problem occurs and I continue with playing music (by clicking the buttom), then amarok won't stop until I start again with the whole procedure from above (searching for other music in the playlist and clicking on the song. Then it stops again after the chosen song is played).

Can anyone help me or confirm this bug?

I think the problem is the following:

It seems that if you select Track Progression: Random Tracks, that then amarok makes a list in which order to play the songs but doesn't update this list if you select by searching the playlist only a part of the playlist. So because amarok has his list he tries to play the next song on this list, but can't do it if this song is no longer on the selected part of the playlist, so then it stops.

I noticed also the following. If I select all songs from one band and then choose random tracks and afterwards only choose a particular album (always by searching the playlist), then the following happens: If now runs a song from the album everything is fine, but if i click on "forward" sometimes nothing happens and sometimes I get a new song from the album. This seems to support my idea that amarok has a list which he doesn't update, he tries to skip to next song, but can't if it is not from the right album, but if I press skip often enough sometimes I will return to the selected album and then amarok will play this song.

Can anyone confirm this?

Don't know. Please simply make a bug report, this makes it easier for us to test this. Not all of ours devs can follow the forum constantly.
