Hello all,

Curious if anyone else is experiencing this. I just updated to Amarok 2.2.2 through Karmic backports (using Kubuntu) and first about 1/10th of my songs disappeared from my collection, then after I had to fully rescan the collection a lot of my artist names are mixed up. For instance, I type in "new pornographers" and "the mountain goats" are the only artist in the local collection, but they don't show any available songs. Typing in "mountain goats" gets me "the misfits". A "new pornographers" song just came on, and I tried to edit track details and change the artist, but it doesn't stick. Also, all of my "the clash" albums are now by "the chemical brothers," so all the mix ups I've noticed appear to be random and to another artist close in the alphabet. Odd indeed.

Cheers.

Hi,

sorry, can't confirm this. I updated from 2.2.1.90 (2.2.2. Beta 1) and had no problems. Did you restart Amarok after the full collection rescan?

I noticed rare mixups of artists in Amarok 2.2.1 in my collection after adding a new album, doing a full rescan and then opening my local collection in "Media Sources". These went away after a restart of Amarok.

Thanks. At least I know I'm not crazy. Problem didn't go away with an Amarok restart, but did go away after a full system restart.
