As suggested in the last paragraph: did you try again later?
Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ... |

i think amarok is NOT using the internet- wikipedia and lyrics doesnt work
so i should have given topic another, appropriate name... |

Well, it works fine here, I very much doubt this is an Amarok related problem. Check your Internet connection and eventual proxy and/or firewall settings.

thats an evasive answer!
i find out many 'miracle bugs' in every version of amarok, i always build it on my own since 2.0 version there are many complications with this soft, 1.x was always clear and fast, mostly... i think its a problem with some library but i cant recognize which one. there are always problems with .so files on slackware thus, it would be great if there was a package for slack

Well, it works fine here in both 2.2.2 and 2.2-git on Kubuntu 9.10, uisng KDE SC 4.4 RC 1, so this is for sure not an Amarok problem.
How about talking to the Slackware people to provide a recent package?

What is the output of "solid-network query status"?
Look for a line like: "networking: is enabled" If it says disabled and you have an internet connection, you are experiencing a Solid bug that occurs whenever a backend is unavailable ( currently only Wicd and Network Manager backends exist )
