Hi all!

I just installed Amarok 2.2.2, after having 1.4 on my system for a good long while. I am getting used to the UI, but have a question about the context panel. While it is pulling lyrics and wiki data, there are circles spinning in a circle... while things are loading. I have a screenshot, but no place to put it up.

Any ideas or help you can provide would be helpful.

Thank you!

Please upload your screenshot to imagebin.org or imagebin.ca or imageshack.us or a similar image hosting site so that we can see what's wrong.

Please, when you post your screenshot, also tell us what you are using, such as distro, KDE version, backend, and such.

Oh, sorry guys!

I am using Ubuntu 9.10, and getting it out of the repos http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a127/ ... Amarok.png

I tried blowing away the .kde folder, and still nothing. I still get all of the circles.

Need any more info?

Thanks!

This is a known Plasma bug that only appears when you are not using KDE:

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=208102

You might have some Plasma packages missing.

Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ...
