Amarok in Lucid Ubuntu

Wed Feb 17, 2010 3:19 pm
Got an update yesterday via update manager - now at version 2.2.2.90

It plays ok from a playlist if I import it but the local collection fails to register any media after collection is updated.

Removing the config files and rescanning has the same outcome.

You're running beta Amarok on an alpha Ubuntu.
What are you awaiting?

I'm fully aware of what I am using :-/

I guess that is about as much as I will get here - the things I've heard about this forum would appear to be right.

What is it with these people today? Is it grumpy Friday? Let's be nasty 'cos the weekend is coming? Help me NOW or I'll shoot you-day?

Or is it just me?

Let's be rid of all spoilsports, help vampires, trolls, sour grapes.

BAN THEM ALL xD

Forestpixie: Something might be wrong in your system, check if you don't have two MySQL versions, that can be a reason for a conflict.

FWIW, all is OK here with Amarok 2.3-git on Karmic, using KDE SC 4.4 and MySQL embedded.

Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ...

Hehe, yeah. Sometimes you gotta wonder on what tree they grow, and in what cave.

Bizarre... :)

You should open a new topic for your problem. You're using Fedora, while this is about... well, don't know exactly about what.

On that topic, I found a funny video:
