Back to older database

Fri Feb 19, 2010 12:18 pm
Hello,

i don't wanted this, but i installed the newest amarok version. Now i wanted back, but it claims: database was generated by a newer version. It is a mysql database.

What must i do that it runs again? I don't wanted to delete everything because then all my settings are gone :-(

Thanks for help!

Export (dump) the database, then read it in again. With MySQL Server this is easy. Not sure how to do it with Embeddded, but it is possible.

That said: Downgrading software is almost always problematic.

There are not many programs that can handle it well at all, because it's technically quite complicated...
