I have a new Archos 5 and I managed to use it once with Amarok 2. I was able to copy the files to it from the iPod I was using, but I lost all the cover arts on the tracks. Now Amarok 2 won't even read the Archos 5 anymore.

Wikipedia says it supports both MSC and MTP, so, yeah: Should be supported.

Try MTP mode first, it's more advanced.
