I can't add asx streams (for example http://www.radijas.fm/media/_catalog/www.radijas.fm-radijo-stotis-power-hit-radio1.asx) to amarok 2.3. I can add other streams as far as i tried. With amarok 2.2 everything was fine. Is that a planned functionality?

Could you please file a bug at https://bugs.kde.org/enter_bug.cgi?product=amarok
If it worked before in Amarok 2.2 this is certainly not planned.

FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ... |

I've found an old bug with that https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=170207. I hope devs will see that

Yes, that's it, it is a regression, not on purpose, as I already said. Did you actually read my first comment?
I knew I had seen that today, so when you reopened the old bug, I was sure I had seen another bug report before and was desperately looking for a duplicate one... ![]()

Exact same problem here (March 13th build of 2.3).

It's 2.3.1 already, and still no fix. It seems that this issue is completely ignored by devs. I can't understand why they threw out asx support at all

They don't ignore it, but they only have 2 hands and 24 hours in a day. All our developers work in their free time, so don't expect miracles from people who also have a live outside of Amarok.

I completely understand that, but they are adding bunches of new features, and don't care about regressions...

well, the regression in that bug is on OS X, and since we currently have no developers working on that platform... It's not that we don't care, but OS X is not something you can work on if you only have Linux computers...

I don't know anything about what's on the OSX, but for me it isn't working on my gentoo box, which is linux

Well, then check that bug again, it is about OS X. I strongly suggest you file a new bug for your problem then, AFAICS, nobody reported this for Linux. Also make sure you use the latest taglib 1.6.3 version, there were some problems on Gentoo with that before...

I thought it was platform independent, because I see comment about that issue on Mandriva Linux in that report. And my taglib is 1.6.3, as you said. Now i think if I should create a new report about that, because it will generally be a dublicate of that one with OSX...
