2.3 podcast problems

Sat Mar 20, 2010 1:07 pm
I just upgraded from 2.9 to 2.3 and was bothered to see the re-emergence of an old bug, some of my podcasts were listing the same episodes multiple times. Every time I restarted amarok it would add another copy of each episode

I tried removing one of the podcasts and then resubscribing but if I try to add it, nothing happens

I tried adding another bbc podcast, I've got a bunch of those and there's no problems with them but when I try to add that I get the error

"adding podcast failed, protocol died unexpectedly"

any suggestions?

/edit I've restarted my machine and now I can add podcasts but I'm getting the duplicate problem again, also it doesn't seem to have picked up on the fact that I've downloaded all the episodes and they're sitting in my podcast directory

I can confirm this exists. It looks like an old bug (duplicating podcasts) from the 2.2 series.

The old bug was corrected for the most part however there is still one of my podcasts that exhibits this behaviour.

It appears that Podomatic might be the issue here. (Same source as the OP's podcast)

it's not just podomatic, I've a couple of others doing the same thing, although the podomatic ones have it worst.
