I observed Amarok dropping some statistics when upgrading from 2.2 to 2.3. After the update Amarok scans the collection on the first start but does not keep all statistics. I think the problem might be related to my setup:
I have mounted the MP3 directory via NFS to /mnt/mp3 and created a symbolic link from /home/me/mp3 pointing to /mnt/mp3. The path specified in the Amarok settings is /home/me/mp3.

I have checked one song which lost its statistics in detail. Here are the changes of the database that might be of interest:

Before the upgrade there is this entry in the tabel url:

Code: Select all
id      deviceid      rpath      directory      uniqueid
26395    -1    ./home/me/mp3/_sort/Rome/2008 - Masse Mensch Material/02 - Der Brandtaucher.mp3    1684    amarok-sqltrackuid://4983d44b3b091533025ecfab5b894973

The associated entry in the table statistics:
Code: Select all
id      url      createdate      accessdate      score      rating      playcount      deleted
9546    26395    0    1264854563    96.6667    7    29    0

After upgrading the file gets a new id:
Code: Select all
id      deviceid      rpath      directory      uniqueid
28334    -1    ./home/me/mp3/_sort/Rome/2008 - Masse Mensch Material/02 - Der Brandtaucher.mp3    1684    amarok-sqltrackuid://4983d44b3b091533025ecfab5b894973

For the new id there is no associated entry in the statistics table. Why is a new id created for the file although the uniqueid has not changed?

I would be grateful for any help on this issue and suggestions how to restore the statistics. Please tell me if additional information are required.
