Suddenly, Amarok seems unaware of any of my album art. Strangely, if I open the Cover Manager, I can see all of the covers as expected. However, they all just appear with the generic image of a CD in jewel case in the player itself. I can manually set a custom cover and it will then display the correct cover. However, I have found that I can't set a custom cover for albums in Various Artists.
Has anyone else seen anything similar? Unfortunately, it just sort of happened so I can't really offer any advice on how to reproduce this. |

Chronon, what changes have you made recently to your system?
What version of Amarok are you using, and in what distro? No matter which version, you can run Amarok in the console,
to see some output. Maybe that will help you figure out what's going on. Valorie |

Sorry about the big lack of information in the first post. I am using KDE 4.4 and Amarok 2.3 on (K)Ubuntu 9.10 (x86_64). The only recent thing related to Amarok that I changed involved adding .mood files with the script from the Moodbar page in the wiki.
I should have played around a bit. I had previously tried to do "Update Collection" from Tools menu without success. Just now I fully rescanned the collection and all of the past weirdness is gone. All albums are showing cover art as desired and a couple of albums that were not showing up in my library are now visible (something I didn't notice until after I had made the prior post). I will try to keep an eye on my actions in case this recurs. One thought: I was running the moodbar script while Amarok was playing (which in retrospect seems like a not very good idea). EDIT: No strangeness since my initial post about this, so I consider this a PEBKAC problem. |
