Ok odd issue
I have an Android phone. In Amarok 1 I would just go in to media devices and add it. But in Aramrok 2 it seems media devices is entirely automated but it wont detect my Android device? Is there a way to get it to see my Android device so I can add songs and so on to it and play those that are on it? |

Which distribution are you using? Does the command "solid-hardware list" output a large list of items?

I am using PCLin
the comand solid-hardware list slists a few pages or so, so yes. It is odd when I mount the Android device it is there in "local music" but just as a "Volume (vfat)" and it says 0 tracks even though a few thousand are there ironically put their via Armarok 1. Is there a way to scan manually so Armarok 2 will see them or re add them so it will use it correctly? Armarok 1 did not know it was a media device by defakt the difrence was in Armarok 1 I could tell it to add the device and that it was a device. But It looks like that function has been removed in Armarok 2. Is there a way to put it back? |

Does your Android device appear in the Device Notifier ( located in the system tray )

Yes
It shows up as a generic removable media In Amarok 1 I would just go to device manager in Amarok 1 and tell it to use that generic devise as a generic media player but that whole area is no where to be fond in Amarok 2? So how do I tell it to use my phone in Amarok 2? |

Did you check if it shows up as a removable device in the Local Music section? If it is indeed recognized it should just show up there, no need to tweak any settings.
Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ... |

This is the way USB mass storage devices are always listed in Amarok. In order to prevent unnecessery scanning it needs to be activated manually though. Right click on "Volume (vfat)" and click "read device" or "scan device". in 2.3.1 you can configure this to be done automatically every time the device is connected. |
