Hello,
since a week ago Amarok 2.3.0 [Arch Linux current 64bit, KDE 4.4.2, qt 4.6.2, mysql 5.1.46, xine] on my main desktop fails to start, after splashscreen empty window pups up and disappears no crash report is shown. Same goes for todays git. Tried to removed ~/.kde4/share/apps/amarok and ~/.kde4/share/config/amarok* and best I can get is one or two correct starts with git after which problem returns. (To achieve this I got to randomly reinstal amarok and amarok-git, delete configs and reboot). Now I have other machine with same packages installed just 32 bit, where Amarok runs fine. (~/.kde4/share/apps/amarok is rsynced between theese machines). Follows amarok --debug (first run without any config, played song and ended amarok. then run amarok again resulting to fail):

I don't think that such a long output should be posted in a forum, the bug tracker is a much more appropriate location: https://bugs.kde.org
Current git version as of today compiles fine and works without a problem. Try moving the configuration files (normally located in $HOME/.kde/share/config/) and start over.
Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ... |

I thought so. I did move the configuration files. Amarok starts correctly once or twice, and than just fails to start. |

Make sure you have no external scripts activated, sometimes those are to blame for such problems. Also you should avoid running Amarok 2.3.0 and the git version for the same user.
I can't reproduce your problem at all, it starts without problems every time I try here.

There should be no external scripts, as the problem occures even when there are no ~/.kde4/share/config/amarok* nor ~/.kde4/share/apps/amarok, respectively these are freshly created by amarok, no config modified. Or are there other files where amarok searches some config? The problem started with 2.3.0, when I could not solve it I tried git. But as I deleted mentioned files, i should not cause problems, or? Well, I can't reproduce on the other machine either (same files to build collection from though). |

Huh, seems that rebuilding bespin-svn fixied it, hope I don't celebrate too early this time. Thanx for your patience.
