I've taken the tracks that I can tell have their endings being clipped and played them in other players. I hear the whole track.
I believe this happens with most or all of my music, but I only notice it on certain tracks because of the character of the audio. This is an ongoing problem that I've seen others report, but I don't believe I've ever seen a solution. I've got Amarok 2.3.0 under KDE 4.4.2, are there any suggested fixes for this problem? |

Which Phonon backend are you using? This can be viewed in System Settings > Multimedia > Backends. Xine is recommended.

I show Xine 0.2.60 from within Amarok and from the System Settings menu.

What file format are your music files? If you play them back with another Xine powered player, can you reproduce the issue?

They are MP3 files, I'm not sure what I'd use to get further details than that.
I'm not sure I have another Xine powered player. Is there one I can get through Kubuntu packages or one for Windows that you could suggest I use to test them? Perhaps I should make a small one available to you: http://ubuntuone.com/p/26c/ In Amarok, the final word "hobbits" gets cut off. In Window Media Player, I hear it. In VLC under Windows, it may be clipping off just the 's' or I may have just misheard. I listen to this chapter of the book quite often, so this particular file drives me nuts when I listen to it in Amarok. |

Replaying the file with xine-ui cuts the last word.
mplayer works fine though. I guess you should report this (= file a bug report) at http://www.xine-project.org as this is a xine bug and not a Amarok bug. |

Will do.
It's bug 352 in their bugzilla system. |
