I just upgraded to Ubuntu 10.04 LTS. After the upgrade, my local music is no longer showing up in Amarok.I have tried to rescan, but nothing showed up. FYI - I am able to see my collection in other music players (like Banshee). Any ideas?

Apparently there is a problem with the current Ubuntu packages. The packagers have been notified, you might want to follow this bug: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=236052
Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ... |

Thanks for the help.
Here is what I ended up doing yesterday that fixed it: I downloaded the KDE package kit interface - kpackagekit. Ran it and it worked |
