Hi,
is there a way to always get the newest version of Amarok in Lucid Ubuntu (not Kubuntu)? Or, at least, how do I install the newest Version manually? |

Just get the Amarok packages from the Ubuntu repositories, it should install the necessary dependencies automatically.
Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ... |

Read again, it says 2:2.3.0, which is the 2.3.0 version. The Amarok 2.3.1 beta version is available in the beta PPAs, see also here: http://www.kubuntu.org/news/amarok-koff ... elop-betas.

Oh, thanks a lot, stupid me, read that wrong.
But now I have the next problem. Amarok is up and running great but won't play mp3's. I installed the xine backend with: sudo aptitude install phonon-backend-xine but it still skips mp3's If you could help me with this too I'd really appreciate it. |
