Hello, I have amarok 2.3.0.90 installed and when I run it, it eats over 1800 MB of RAM (!!!) before it crashes during startup. How can I help you solving this issue?

Please run Amarok from the command line (console):

Code: Select all
amarok -d --nofork

and see what's happening to eat up all your CPU cycles. This is definitely not normal behavior. Amarok is running now in my machine and using 6% of my cpu.

its crashing while its building the playlist:

amarok: END__: void Playlists::SqlUserPlaylistProvider::checkTables() - Took 0.0018s
amarok: BEGIN: Playlists::XSPFPlaylist::XSPFPlaylist(const KUrl&, bool)
amarok: url: KUrl("file:///home/krasimir/.kde4/share/apps/amarok/current.xspf")
amarok: BEGIN: bool Playlists::XSPFPlaylist::loadXSPF(QTextStream&)
terminate called after throwing an instance of 'std::bad_alloc'
what(): std::bad_alloc
KCrash: Application 'amarok' crashing...
sock_file=/home/krasimir/.kde4/socket-koeff.com/kdeinit4__0

I just checked up my playlist - current.xspf and it's about 640 MB. Deleted it and now it's ok. I don't know how did this happen. Thanks anyway :)
