I suspect a connection related problem then, I have never seen this here with local files.
Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ... |

I'm having the same problem with 2.3.2 when playing Magnatune albums - something that always worked well before.

I, too, suffer from this intermittently (with local files). Workaround which works for me: kill the amaork process, start it up again and things usually work.

In my case it was Firefly related problem. I don't remember any problems with local or samba files.

I am having the same issue with Amarok 2.3.2 and VLC backend streaming files from an Ampache server

I have similar problem, with VLC backend.
Just that it's more on a whim. Sometimes it will play for hours at the time without stopping, next time it will stop after every song. I have no idea why. I tried to read the debug output with amarok --debug, but it just showed that it stopped, no reason why. And that's all I can give you for now.

After upgrading to 2.4, I am no longer experiencing this bug. Great
