This is still causing me problems. When I run

> amarokcollectionscanner  -ir $MY_MUSIC_COLLECTION

it only scans newly added music. But if I "Update Collection" from within Amarok, the entire collection is scanned.

I have solved the problem by removing my ~/.kde/share/apps/amarok/mysqle/amarok/directories*

The database was apparently corrupted in there.
