amarok default window

Sat Jul 17, 2010 4:09 pm
Hi to all,
I am running kde 4.4 suse 11.3.
The default window i.e the one that comes up when you first install amarok
is not there when I reboot and I cannot find a default setting.

I uninstalled it via yast but on reinstalling there is still the same problem.
so is there a default reset, if not how can I completely uninstall
Amarok.
Thank you

What setting can't you find?

if you edit ~/.kde4/share/config/amarok_homerc
and change firstShowingApplet=0 to firstShowingApplet=1
the first run dialog should show

first run dialog shows only if app has never before been run

To clean out everything and start Amarok from scratch you can remove the 3 rc files and directory
~/.kde4/share/config/amarok*rc
~/.kde4/share/apps/amarok
