This question probably applies to any other kde media-player.
If i am right (am i?), fish:// access is abstracted by the means of KIO.
With dolphin i can access to the remote server(with SSH) with the fish:// urls. I can open and edit text files with kate. But i cannot play music files with amarok\kaffeine... So the question is whether playing media files supposed to work? ???
Thanks in advance.

This is because the underlying Phonon backends do not support these protocols, in this case Xine / GStreamer / VLC.
