I'm hoping someone can offer some help. I have a 30 gb zen vision M player that I just simply cannot connect to my computer at all. I have tried many things, including Gnomad2 and Amarok. I have both the Libmtp and Libnjb libraries installed. Neither Gnomad2 or Amarok will detect the player. When I first installed Amarok, the player actually connected to the computer and began charging, but would not be detected in a program. Since then, I have not even been able to get the computer to detect the player, or get the player to charge.

Does anyone have any advice? I do not understand why it connected once and then never again, nor do I understand why the computer will not even register that it is attached. Any help would be massively appreciated.

you should post what distro and what versions of Amarok and Gnomad2 you're using. Probably versions of Libmtp and Libnjb also

Can you change the Zen to be a msc instead of an mtp device? msc makes it look like any generic flash drive to the computer
