I'm trying to remove certain information from songs, such as album or year, but currently the only way I can find to do it en mass is to set them all to a common value, then delete it in a second step. This can't be done for some stats such as year, for instance. Any suggestions?

Amarok isn't a tagger, although it can be used for the occasional editing of tags. The exception is when you rip a CD *in* Amarok, and it's auto-tagged.

So, the suggestion is to use a tagger such as Picard (my favorite), Kid3, or Easytag; whichever you might prefer.
