Hi guys am having serious issues with amarok always crashing on me after playing like 4 tracks from my playlist. The issue is very reproducible all I have to do is skip 4 or 5 times and it crashes. I downloaded the amarok-dbg package to get more debug on the problem and here is what I get http://pastebin.com/UQFnUBEj . I use amarok 2.3.1 with an external mysql database. amarok has been super stable for me before now but right now the issue is so unbearable that I cant listen to music anymore. I have deleted the amarok config files in .kde/share/config and the amarok directory in .kde/share/app I am completely at a clueless on how to get round this issue and its really becoming unbearable not to be able to listen to music on my PC

This is a bug in the Context View, already solved in the upcoming Amarok 2.3.2. Please see also https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=245513
Bug reports don't belong here, the Help forum title is quite explicit about that:
Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ... |

This was not suppose to a be a bug report. I came here to seek help and just added things which might help people understand my situation and probably help me out. last time I checked the header of where I started this thread said Amarok/Help or am I missing something?. Btw I was in the irc and it turned out to be an issue with ffmpeg I had on my system for some reason it caused amarok to crash after playing couple of songs. I noticed this when amarok 2.3.2 which I downloaded from git had the same problem. and when run in debug mode amarok complained about ffmpeg. purging my version of ffmpeg and reinstall it fixed the issue and amarok as been running for 4 hours now. Guess I can make this thread as solved. Again how this constitute a bug report I don't know. I guess I would have to be less explicit with my problem next time. |
