Hi,
I recently moved all my music files (over 10,000 files) to a NAS server. I have mounted the music directory using nfs, and amarok is working fine with it. But if i start amarok while the laptop isn't connected to the LAN, Amarok flushes its database, so it has to rescan all 10,000 files as soon as the connection is re-established, which can take up to 15 minutes... Is there a way to avoid amarok flushing its database? For example MPD patiently waits until the connection is re-established to continue where it left.. But mpd is no match to amarok, so i really would like to be able to use amarok in stead. Kind regards, Rinse

Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ... |
