Hey,
I know this seems a dumb question; however I am very new to Ubuntu and am trying to use Amarok as a music library. I have my music on a NTFS drive, which is mounted in \media and fully accessible via Ubuntu. However, either scanning or navigating the drive shows nothing at all. Ccopying an mp3 to the \user\documents has the same effect. Also, right clicking on a file outside, asking it to open with Amarok also yields nothing. I have Ubuntu 10.04 with Amarok 2.3.0 (not sure how to download the kubuntu one - I must stress I am very new to Linux). I know Amarok is a music manager, so I am hoping it's something large and simple I've missed, but your help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Ben |

Hi Ben -- there is a packaging error in Ubuntu for 2.3.0. Please upgrade to fix your database problems: http://amarok.kde.org/wiki/Download:Kubuntu#Amarok_2.3 . Follow the guide to get the latest.

Glad you had success! Can you mark your problem solved, with the green checkmark?
Thanks. |
