Hello,
I've been trying to access daap share from a server running firefly (which works, seen I can see it from itunes) with my Amarok (2.3.2). And I've not managed to do it.
I don't know where to look for an error. Avahi-daemon is started.
When I nmap the server, I see this line:
Code: Select all
3689/tcp open  rendezvous

Iptables should let it through:
Code: Select all
Chain INPUT (policy ACCEPT)
target     prot opt source               destination
ACCEPT     all  --  anywhere             anywhere            state RELATED,ESTABLISHED
ACCEPT     icmp --  anywhere             anywhere
ACCEPT     all  --  anywhere             anywhere
ACCEPT     tcp  --  anywhere             anywhere            state NEW tcp dpt:ssh
REJECT     all  --  anywhere             anywhere            reject-with icmp-host-prohibited

What should I do?

Thanks.

If you shutdown the firewall totally does it work? You may need to allow outbound fully as well. Also, check that your system can multicast correctly.

Okay, I'm stupid... It was a plain firewall problem.
Thanks.
