Hello,

I'm using current Amarok-Git (with phonon-vlc-git) and when playing a file, the "modified" date is updated to the time of the end of the playback of the file... This is a relatively new behaviour, i just noticed when doing a backup of my music to an external hard drive with rsync, which wanted to copy a lot of files that i played recently. I think this is wrong behaviour... Did someone else notice that?

Confirm this.

The oldest anomalous modified date I can find in my collection with a quick check is 2010-11-03 18:22 (GMT) and I rebuild Amarok pretty rapidly after changes, so I guess that's about when to look.

Ah, it looks like this was a change to add embedding of statistics in file tags. The tags now include FMPS_PLAYCOUNT and FMPS_RATING_AMAROK_SCORE fields.
