I have been searching for hours to find a way to:
Use my SD card(that I put in my android phone) with Amarok. I have a SD Card Reader and whenever I put in the SD Card, I want Amarok to sync music with it. Also, I am using Ubuntu and it sees the SD Card as a volume(Mass Storage Device). Is this possible? I have been searching for hours with no luck. By the way I am new to the forums so if this is posted in the wrong place...sorry. Thanks Edit: I think this is supposed to be posted in general discussion, so I reposted. But I don't know how to delete this topic.

Once the SD card is mounted as a mass storage device, it will appear in Amarok's local music selection, as another collection alongside the local collection. If this isn't happening, ensure you are running the latest version (2.3.2) of Amarok.

Amarok, not Anorak, please...
Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ... |

Okay it does show up as a collection. Now the only way to transfer my music to the sd card is to: -right click on Local Collection and hit "Copy to" -> "Volume" Since I have a lot of music it takes a good 10-15 Minutes to copy everything. Say I buy new songs, do I have to recopy the entire collection(wait 10-15 mins) or is there a way to just copy the "changes"? |

It will automatically check if files are already present on the target, and not copy them if they are. You can also select a particular set of items in the library to move by simply selecting each item you want to move and then right clicking and copying to. |
