Hi there. I'm running Ubuntu 10.04 (with GNOME 2.30.2, not KDE). I've recently installed Amarok 2.3.0, and I'm hoping it will end my past dependence of iTunes.
I seem to have some trouble, however, importing stats from my old iTunes library. I searched and read around for some time, but cannot seem to find a solution. When I try to import, I don't even get an "unable to import statistics", but merely a blank window. I ran from the console and I saw a whole lot of this:
Do you know how I could fix this? |

You apparently have no reachable MySQL database. I strongly suggest you upgrade to Amarok 2.3.2, see also http://kubuntu.org/news/amarok-232-backports-ppa
Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ... |

Thanks for the advice. I upgraded, and I got myself a database. This got rid of the SQL errors. However, I still get these:
I could imagine that this is due to the paths given in the iTunes playlist. I have created a symlink in my root folder that links to C:/ on my Windows partition, but perhaps Amarok doesn't follow this? In the file browser, it shows the folder, but upon double clicking, claims the folder does not exist. EDIT: I did a search and replace on the iTunes library file to avoid the colon in the path. This fixed the issue. |
