Do a right click on the individual podcast header and check your settings, you can choose to download episodes there. Default is listen on demand IIRC.
Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ... |

Manchette, are you shutting down Amarok via the menu or Control Q? Because shutting down cleanly is the way to get the state properly saved, I would think including podcasts. Just using the X will not shut it down cleanly.

"Just using the X will not shut it down cleanly."
Let me say 'Wow' here, this is an interesting insight, i could never think about this. I think i'm often times using the X to close down the soft, so this might be the problem (?) Could you please help me understand this from a developing viewpoint ? (isn't the X supposed to work as well ? what's impeding this ?) Anyway, i'll try with ctrl+Q and will tell you more asap Thanks

Ok, i re-added the 3 podcasts feeds and closed the soft with ctrl + q but then clicking on the Amarok icon does not open the soft (well in fact it does but you can't see it , as shows 3rd trial with command line)
:~> amarok Amarok is already running! unnamed app(18384): Communication problem with "amarok" , it probably crashed. Error message was: "org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.NoReply" : " "Did not receive a reply. Possible causes include: the remote application did not send a reply, the message bus security policy blocked the reply, the reply timeout expired, or the network connection was broken." i'll turn off session to try again. After opening the soft again no podcast feeds are left , it's hard to open the soft for i have a segmentation fault : Exécutable : amarok PID : 18917 Signal : Segmentation fault (11) Another test shows that ctrl + q does not let the podcast feed saved so far.

Well, many people want to set up their playlist, and then dismiss Amarok to the toolbar, where some basic control can be used, and for the rest they use keyboard shortcuts. The menu and Control-Q are the standard way to shut down KDE apps cleanly. |

Please try running amarok from the console so you get some output:
You are using beta software, and so you can help us iron out these bugs before release. |

this is great and i'm willing to help (i heard many people praising Amarok as the best soft on earth and the same are spitting on it now, i don't like this at all and if i can help i'd be delighted )
Something strange : i update very often all my packages from factory repository of opensuse and amarok was updated untill a new version : i now have Qt: 4.7.1 KDE Development Platform: 4.5.90 (4.6 RC1) Amarok: 2.3.90 (amarok-2.3.90-94.1.i586) And now ... guess what : it looks ok : feeds that were not there anymore are back (i had 4 feeds but tired of saving them all all the time i left only 3 feeds of podcast but now i have my 4 feeds back without touching amarok, isn't this great ? ) now the console command you gave gives something like this :

That's just the scanner running -- you'll see that all the time. So your problem is over, and you have your podcast feeds? That's great, and we'd appreciate it if you would mark your problem as solved - the green checkmark.

Ok, thanks
NB : it's not obvious to see where to check topic as solved : the green check button says 'accept this answer' , this is confusing. It should say 'mark/set this topic as solved' (by the way the uncheck button is perfectly clear as it says 'set topic as unsolved' ) I hope this can help
