Hi,
Please help me out with this, I have been using amarok for like 4 years and I like it so much. Right now I have a problem with loading the lyrics. I am getting an error like the following.. "Lyrics could not be retrieved because the server was not reachable." Anybody please help me solve this problem. Thanks, Mukesh |

Right, you really need to tell us what Amarok version you are using, what lyrics script(s), what you have tried to get around the problem already, and whether or not you have checked 1. your internet connection, and 2. the lyrics website.
It's very difficult to help with so little information. There are many good lyrics scripts; the usual advice when one isn't working, is to disable that one and try another. Valorie |

Hi,
I am using amarok 1.4. I tried to use WikiLyrics and but no luck, its says "Fetching Lyrics..." for many hours. But when I used Lyrc then it says "Lyrics could not be retrieved because the server was not reachable." Also the internet connection is perfect and the website is still alive. Sorry for the delay in reply. |

1.4 hasn't been supported for quite awhile. That said, have you tried what I said and changed to another script? I recall having to do that back when I used 1.4. Also, have you tried running Amarok from the command line? You should be able to see the output as things happen. In the current Amarok, we recommend
Usually changing lyrics scripts isn't necessary in the current Amarok, which is up to 2.4 in a few days. Valorie |

Thanks a lot Valorie. The Last time I tried with was WikiLyrics and it didnt work and now I tried the ultraLyricWiki and it worked. \m/
The '-d' option is not supported. I think I will have to use amarokapp if I have to see the debug messages instead of amarok. Thanks again.. |

Starting Amarok from a terminal with the given options works perfectly fine, why do you think it is unsupported?
Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ... |
