when ever i plug in my itouch it is not being detected by dolphin and not show in "/media" nor it is show in amarok or any other music player? pls help

Newer Apple **** is not really supported. I know it, I have a lot of it;-(
Try searching for iTouch, iPhone and you will find a lot of topics about this issue.
Some succeded, most failed. Sorry.
Oh and don't provide him the obsolete standard link. This recipe doesn't work anymore.

Please read the following thread :

it does work perfectly at my end.
Please note that you'll also need the latest libimobiledevice depending on your itouch firmware.
I think libimobiledevice 1.0.4 is OK for ios <= 4.2.1
