Hi folks. New to Amarok (and Linux for that matter). I'm using Amarok with LXDE (Lubuntu), and wondered if there was a script for adding file conversion capabilities. I've seen a few here and there on the net, but the references seem to be fairly old so I wasn't sure what worked with the current version. Suggestions will be much appreciated. Thanks so much!

A file transcoding feature will be included in the next version of Amarok, Amarok 2.4, which is due for release in the next few days (though may take a bit longer to make it to your distro). I haven't tried any scripts for doing it.
