Hi Guys,

Whenever I download an MP3 Track from Youtube via JDownloader, which is very comfortable by the way as you only need to copy the link and Jdownloader does the rest, the tracklenght is shown wrong in amarok. Depending on the tracks real lenght i sometimes get 20 minutes or 1 hour and a couple of minutes as tracklenght. However the Song skips to the next when it is finished. The timer showing whats left of the track runs down very fast (not correctly).

If I open the track with mplayer it needs a couple of seconds to adjust the tracklenght but in the end it is correct.

Is there a solution to this problem yet?

Thanks, Guys

Which Multimedia backend is in use? This can be seen in System Settings > Multimedia > Phonon > Backends.

I'm using Ubuntu.
The backend is Xine 0.2.60

Xine is probably trusting the metadata embedded within the MP3 file itself, whilst MPlayer builds it itself. You may be able to fix this by trying other backends such as VLC.

Thanks, that helped.

Now the music playing adapts nicely and shows the right tracklength. But the tracks in the playlist and elsewhere still have wrong lenght. Is there a way to fix this?

You likely need to rescan your collection or replay the song to fix the times Amarok has stored.
