I read in another topic: ''If you want to use the USB device as the main collection, make sure you add the link to it in the Amarok settings. It is highly recommended not to use it as an external collection, since then the USB disk will be scanned like a plain media device which takes very long, depending on the size of the device''

I dont have this option in the Amarok settings or i dont know how to add.
I use: Amarok 2.3.90 KDE 4.5.95 (4.6 RC2)

Thanks.

if you wish an external as/in your main collection I would assume you add it like you would any other

tools -> configure amarok -> Collection then check the directory of the external device (for me it would be /media/xxxxxx) and of course check the recursive button

I would also assume you'd want the device connected before you started Amarok or it will be rescanned when plugged in.
