Amarok 2 from bash

Sun Jan 16, 2011 5:58 pm
Hello,

I'm trying to start Amarok 2 under Debian Squeeze directly from bash, without running a Window Manager.
In Amarok 1.x it was possible to use the "world best" Music Player directly from bash with this Command:

Code: Select all
xinit /usr/bin/amarokapp --geometry 1024x768 -- :2

In the 2nd Version of Amarok there is no amarokapp Binary.
Can someone help me out?

Kind Regards
Felix

Maybe just "amarok"?

Re: Amarok 2 from bash  Topic is solved

You need to run it as "amarok --nofork" as Amarok forks once it has started up
