I am a relative newbie to Linux so please forgive me if I am making some sort of obvious error.
I am running Kubuntu 10.10. I have been using earlier versions of Amarok 2.3 without problems for some months. I updated to KDE 4.6 and Amarok 4.6 yesterday and have not been able to delete files. When doing so I get the following error message: "There was a problem and this track could not be removed. Make sure the directory is writeable". However, looking in the directory shows that the files were in fact deleted, but the not album folder in which they resided (or the artist folder above that if this was the only album by that artist). Running Amarok in debug mode gives the following error: [WARNING] [SqlCollectionLocation] An error occurred when removing a file: "The file or folder /location/of/file - name_of_file does not exist." : BEGIN: bool Collections::SqlCollectionLocation::startNextRemoveJob() amarok: [SqlCollectionLocation] isGoingToRemoveSources() true amarok: [SqlCollectionLocation] deleting KUrl("file:///location/of/file - name_of_file") amarok: END__: bool Collections::SqlCollectionLocation::startNextRemoveJob() [Took: 0s] amarok: END__: void Collections::SqlCollectionLocation::slotRemoveJobFinished(KJob*) [Took: 0.001s] amarok: BEGIN: void StatusBar::hideProgress() amarok: END__: void StatusBar::hideProgress() [Took: 0.006s] amarok: BEGIN: void Collections::SqlCollectionLocation::slotRemoveJobFinished(KJob*) [where "location/of/file - name_of_file" is the correct location and name of file in question.] I have run chmod -R 777 on ~/Music to try to ensure that this is not a problem with permissions, but it does not seem to have helped at all. |
