Is there a way to make the context popups in Amarok 2.4 disappear? To make myself clearer I will add a screenshot:
I searched but could not find it. I asked on the Dutch Ubuntu forum and got lots of help but nobody seemed to know the answer. It would be nice if I could make these popups disappear. Thanks in advance. Pieter. |

Thank you for your quick answer! But your suggestion doesn't have the desired effect. It is not the end of the world but it puzzles me.

Are you saying that that option is unchecked but you still have the tooltips?

That is exactly what I'm saying. But áre these "tooltips"?

That's what they are called in that menu, although usually tooltips are about parts of applications. If you have them showing when you have that option unchecked, please file a bug:

This is actually not a tooltip, but a complementary information of the id3 tags, so not a bug.
Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ... |

Thank you for your reply. It goes against my instincts too to call it "tooltip". But if it isn't a tooltip, the question remains: can I get rid of the "complementary information of the id3 tags".
I would like that. But I can't find the way to do it. |

+1, coz it is annoying

To bad, just when I started to like the new Amarok I will have to move away from it again. It irritates my very much. Every time I am reading something the "complinentary id3 tag information" blocks it.
If I can't toggle it I will stop using Amarok. |

We have this bug closed (http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=263121). Make sure that you disable It in playlist configuration dialog, and using latest Amarok revision (fix came a bit late so It didn't get into 2.4.0 release).

Great news! Thank you for your reply. Amarok 3 is growing into something that is very easy to work with and also very complete. E.g. I am happy with the queue manager.
I compliment the developers for their courage and creativity. Great work! |

Are you sure you unchecked it for the playlist format you actually use? Got bitten by that one myself, tried to enable them, and couldn't for the life of me figure out why I saw no context menu and wrote it off as another peculiarity of Amarok... ...until I decided to make a new format, and checked the box just for the hell of it, and noticed I got the popup in that format. Doh! |

darn. yeah, it should have been very clear where that popup's coming from. many users must have been baffled by it. maybe the interface design should be tweaked a bit. |

I just installed 2.4.1 beta and the bug is gone. As far as I am concerned Amarok is perfect now. Thank you.
