Amarok first launch failure

Thu Feb 03, 2011 2:09 pm
Following Amarok installation on SLED11 Linux from Novell site,
I launched it, which was followed by an updating configuration window, which continued endlessly. After cancelling, I saw the message >:D :

Amarok could not find any collection plugins. It is possible that Amarok is installed under the wrong prefix, please fix your installation using:
$ cd /path/to/amarok/source-code/
$ su -c "make uninstall"
$ cmake -DCMAKE_INSTALL_PREFIX=`kde4-config --prefix` && su -c "make install"
$ kbuildsycoca4 --noincremental
$ amarok
More information can be found in the README file. For further assistance join us at #amarok on irc.freenode.net.

However, there is no such folder /path/to/amarok/source-code/
in the linux file system. irc.freenode.net is not available.
How can I fix this problem?

Thank you

You might try
Code: Select all
kbuildsycoca4 --noincremental
in a console, for starters. Did you install Amarok from packages in your distro?
