I recently installed 2.4.0 (from koji.fedoraproject.org, so not officially released), and noticed that the behavior of Amarok seems to have changed.
Previously, Amarok would not update "last played" to the current time unless at least 50% of the track had been played when you skipped forward or stopped playback. As of 2.4.0, it does not seem to update last played time even at this point. I haven't figured out at what point Amarok will update the last played time, if indeed it will do so at all unless the whole track has been played, but clearly it has changed. I was wondering what the rationale was for changing it, and indeed what the rationale is for not updating it at an even earlier point than the old 50% mark? I mean, clearly, it's been played - just not to the end? |
