Hi All,
I'm having trouble getting the ratings to cross-pollinate between Amarok and Dolphin. I don't want to report as a bug yet in case its something I'm doing wrong. I can set the ratings in Amarok and they show up when I add the song to the playlist. Even after restarting amarok. I can set the ratings in Dolphin and then filter using the filter toolbar. This is also persistent. But they seem to be setting different ratings as the ones I set in Dolphin don't show in Amarok and vice versa. Am I doing something wrong, or is it a bug? Running Arch x86_64, KDE 4.6.00, Amarok 2.4.0 Thanks, Dave. |

I believe the ratings set by Dolphin are stored in Nepomuk, which Amarok does not interact with. Amarok interacts with metadata stored in the files themselves.

Ahh, thanks. It had to be something like that.
I guess Nepomuk use in KDE is still growing to maturity. Its getting there though. There must be a lot of common functionality between the APG/Dynamic Playlist stuff and Nepomuk. It would be great to see utilisation of that. Thanks for your help though. |
