I'm on KDE 4.4.5, using kubuntu 10.04 and Amarok 2.3.0

I have installed some scripts (mostly radio channels) and after restarting Amarok I cannot run the scripts because they don't show on the "Tools" menu.
I think it must have something to do with the folder in wich they are saved based on other topics i've read. I've found some of the installed scripts at:
Home/.kde/share/apps/amarok/scripts
Some others I can't find or uninstall. It says:
"Could not uninstall this script.
The ScriptManager can only uninstall scripts which have been installed as packages."

There's only one script that runs (wich I think I installed right after updating to Kubuntu 10.04) is Ultimate Lyrics.

Thanks in advanced

some suggestions
- update to the latest version 2.4
- start clean, rename or remove the Amarok directory and rc files /.kde/share/config/amarok* & /.kde/share/apps/amarok/

you could also try (bit messier)
- removing the scripts folder and
- editing the plugin section [Plugins] of /.kde/share/config/amarokrc by removing everything between [Plugins] and the next [xxxx] section which for me is [Podcast View]
- editing the plugin line of /.kde/share/config/amarok_homerc and remove the listed scripts

Hi,thanks for the quick reply.
I tried you second suggestion, deleted de "scrips" and "scrpts-data" folders. Then changed "amarokrc" like you said. When I went to modify "amarok_homerc" I found none of my scripts to delete:

"
[Containment 0]
firstShowingApplet=0
plugins=currenttrack,lyrics,wikipedia

[Directories-default]
prefixes[$d]

[Emoticons]
emoticonsTheme[$d]

[Notification Messages]
:confirmNewSession[$d]

[PreviewSettings]
UseFileThumbnails[$d]

[Toolbar style]
ToolButtonStyle[$d]
"

Then I started Amarok and unistalled everything that appeared under "installed" in the "get more stuff" window, restarted Amarok and installed some scripts again, restarted and, again, they aren't in the Tools menu.
Maybe the problem is in amarok_homerc, since it didn't chaged after reinstalling scripts.
Also, the "scrpts-data" folder didn't regenerate.

I'm unsure about installing Amarok 2.4 since the site says is for Linux 10.10, and I'm under 10.04. http://amarok.kde.org/wiki/Download:Kubuntu#Amarok_2.4

Edit: I forgot to mention that "scripts-data" was an empty folder :< and the one script that showed before all this doesn't anymore. (I did a backup of everything I changed/deleted, so no worries there)

but there is 2.3.2 for 10.4 http://www.ubuntuupdates.org/packages/show/202932

only thing I can suggest is rename everything (dir and rc files) and start clean to see if that helps, maybe someone more knowledgeable will have a better idea

I don't know exactly how, but now it seems to work. I went back and forth restoring the things I had changed and then uninstalling/reinstalling scripts. I don't know if its relevant but I installed them one at the time (and then restarted) and also installed a couple less, like 2 instead of 5.
Somehow I got to the point where everything works.

Before that, I tried to find Amarok 2.3.2 but in the APP repository I added: (deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/kubuntu-ppa/ppa/ubuntu lucid main) I couldn't find that package.

Anyway, I'm marking this as solved, and thank you very much for the help.
Also, apologies if I can't find Amarok 2.3.2 because I got the wrong repository, maybe that means I shouldn't be messing with them.
