How do I add music from an external HD to my collections folder? When I try to add it in "configure Amarok" it doesn't show at all...

In "Local Folders" the HD shows, but it says "0 tracks".

I can play the files from "Files", but I can't get album-art and some other features to work.

Your external Hard Drive needs to be mounted before Amarok starts to be sure it shows up. Of course a collection rescan and restart might help as well.

I use my collection from an external USB hard drive since quite some time and it works very well.

Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ...
