I am running Amarok 2.3.2 under Kubuntu 10.10 (I have failed to figure out how to update it to 2.4, that is another story). When I plug in my iPod I get there is no reaction. I have read in another forum that through the menu Settings>>configure Amarok>>devices, that I can access my Pod. In the configure Amarok menu I only get the following choices:
General Collection Internet Services Playback Notifications Database None of which help me. Any ideas? John |

To upgrade, see http://amarok.kde.org/wiki/Download:Kubuntu
If KDE detects your iPod, Amarok should too, automatically. It will show up below your Local Collection. If it shows 0 tracks, wait a bit for Amarok to catalog the contents. |

Thanks for the update info, I now have Amrok 2.4. But still my pod is not recognised. I can see it in the file manager, I can look inside it (no songs as I have factory reset it) but I cannot access it from Amrok.

Strange! And yet we have another report of the same thing happening. Can you please run Amarok from the console,
Thanks for helping us improve Amarok, and sorry for your difficulties. |
