I'm running Arch and using Amarok 2.4.0-2 on LXDE and it is the only KDE application that I use. When I launch Amarok, kdeinit4 is run and it launches a bunch of other processes - klauncher, kded4, kglobalaccel, kio_http_cache_cleaner. When I quit Amarok these other kde process remain running.

I'd like to know if there is a way to launch Amarok so that when I quit Amarok the other kde processes also exit. I have had trouble with kded4 in particular becoming a zombie process and consuming 100% cpu.

The command line usage message for Amarok is:
Usage: amarok [Qt-options] [KDE-options] [URL(s)]

I could not find any information online for the [KDE-options] and am hoping someone might be able to give me some options.

Regards,
Nick

The command "amarok --help-all" will display the content of Qt options, KDE options and Amarok options. Unfortunately, what you are looking for is probably not possible...

kded4 certainly shouldn't become a Zombie like that however. You may wish to try attaching gdb to it and generating a backtrace when it does that, and filing an appropriate bug report.
