I just recently got a hand-me-down iPod, an old one with the clickwheel. When I look at the iPod in Amarok I can see and interact with the music on it. I can't drag music from my collection into it, though. I tried right clicking on the music that I wanted to move to my iPod and copying it to the iPod. That worked - the files are there, I can switch between computers and both recognize them with metadata and everything - but for some reason the iPod doesn't recognize it. So I'm stuck with having the iPod with an old music library and storage capacity Anybody have any advice, how I can get the iPod to read my music? I've tried multiple formats - most of the music on it is .m4a - and even .m4a's that I copy from my computer onto the iPod aren't recognized, even though they get stored on it.
